Karl Lagerfeld and his Mythology

Today in Moscow, the 2011 Pirelli Calender, was presented to the world's press. The event was held at the prestigious Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko theatre. "The Cal 2011" features the creative genius of Karl Lagerfeld, whose sense for art and aesthetics is renowned throughout the world.

Mythology is a calendar that reflects one of the deepest passion of Lagerfeld: the Greek and Roman mythology. It takes the viewer to the roots of classical civilisation and to the Old World. All the photos are in black and white: "actresses and models bring these new heroes to life and decipt a new concept of the beautiful", said Karl Lagerlfeld, who, within these calendar has offered up an idyllic, immortal representation of beauty.

Mythology has 21 protagonists: 15 female models (including Bianca Balti, Elisa Sednaoui, Freja Beha Erichsen and Isabeli Fontana), 5 male models (with the Lagerfeld's muse: Baptiste Giabiconi) plus the American actress Julianne Moore.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and her ABC to fashion

Beautiful, strong, independent and hard working. This is Julia Restoin Roitfeld.
She's the doughter of the french fashion woman for excellance: Carine Roitfeld, the editor in chief of Vogue France.

Her mother taught her that the attitude and the charms of a woman are way more important than the physical features. She started to pay attention to fashion at quite a late age. Despite this, she is considered a fashion icon and, even if we saw her at the best fashion shows, se doesn't consider herself as a fashion victim.

She define her style as quite classic and bourgeois with a feminine and sexy rock touch.
She loves Azzadine Alaia, Balmain and Chanel: the ABC to fashion.

I love to be casual chic

I definitely love to be casual chic! this is what I thought when I saw this editorial in the October's issue of Elle France. This editorial is taken by Simon Burstall and the model is wearing mixed denim/bohemian outifits.

This is my mood for the latest days!!!

Good night, sweet night

Time to sleep, wish you good night and sweet dreams.

Today I officially missed Lanvin for H&M!

I was waiting for it, I was dreaming it, I was getting ready for it and...I've lost it!!!!
Yes girls, today I officialy missed Lanvin for H&M. Ok, I admit that I wasn't 100% conviced.
Even if I really liked some pieces (like the t-shirts, the one shoulder dresses and the "baby-doll" dress), I am fully conviced that the price of this collection was a little bit too much higher.

Anyway, in the next days (tomorrow)  I will have a look at H&M for sure, just to see if there is something...if not, it doesn't matter!!! There is one think that I really appreciate in this project: the communication! H&M and Alber Elbaz really did great things!!

Carrousel de la Mode = Me! Try to promote my Carrousel, try to promote myself.

Why is personal branding so important to me?

Since last years I'm trying to run my Carrousel de la Mode, my personal blog for fashion and more. The reason why I tried to set up my blog is just because I was searching a way to express myself and to talk about my passions and the things I love.

I truly believe in the power of the web. In the recent years be present in the web has become crucial. Facebook and Twitter help me to improve my presence in the web and help me to promote my blog.
Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin help me to improve also myself, but I need something more.

Three reason to try to win this personal branding short cours:
1. I want to become a Ninja,
2. I want to understand better how can I promote my work at Carrousel de la Mode,
3. I want to understand how can I promote myself. In better words: I want to gain credibility in the web for my Carrousel and for my career.

Wish me good luck!
