A Saturday like this...

As you may know, Saturday is my favorite day of the week and the morning is the part that I like most. Sleaping more, lying in the bed watching the ceiling, planning your day, having breakfast...

Normally I'm used to have a cup tea or a cup of cofee reading some magazines, viewing a movie or having a look at my bloglist. But this morning, after a sweet breakfast with my love, I decided to have a look at my fashion videos archive (of course, my love is not here now. He's away for an appoinment and come back within an hour).

Suddently I was capture from SS 2007. I truly loved, and actually I love, this season. I probabily like it so much because it reminds me my first working season in the fashion field, my first season in Milan...

I think that designers made a superlative job that year. And if you are asking me "Tell us, which is your favorite collection?" I'd answer: Miu Miu! (have a look at the video!). The best piece of that collection was for sure the tie-dye canvas bags capsule.

Unfortunately that year my savings were not so high so it was impossible for me to buy one of these dreaming accessories but I hope to find a vintage shop with one of this bags (someone can help?!? maybe also with on-line shops...). And if, I hope to find my beloved version: the blue/light blue (like a ink jet) maxi shopper. With this kind of hippy style this bag will be perfect for me!

Girls, spring is coming!

and as always we begin to "leave" in the corner of our closets our beloved black, chosing bright and shining accessories or clothes. Of course, we're not in July and the temperatures are still low. But, you know, the mood has his importance and wearing even only one small colorfull clutch or the right nail polish can change your day.

I certanly can not define myself as a "pink lady", mainly because of my "natural red hairs" that doesn't really match with this colour. But even if not for myself, this season I found many interesting pieces, specially in pink or in bright pink/orange. Just have a look at the SS2011 catwalks and you will see what designers has "invented" for us... here my selection.

A neverendless piece. You can wear it with the jeans jacket or with a leather bluson. Romantic with a pair of ballerinas or more aggressive with the right pairs of high sandals. Defenitely my dress.

But sorry, I'm a red-hair girl, pinks is not in my veins.

But I can definitely make an ecception for this amazing O.P.I. nail polish.

This shape makes me litterally crazy. I found it this morning when my hairstylist was cutting my hairs. Love at first sight. Of course, I took off the grey vernis and suddently I put this fabolous "big hair...big nails" on my nails.

Yes, that's true. With Pure Threads, Emma Watson is the "new designer" for Ferretti.

Actually, Emma is not properly THE designer. In fact, she's making a collaboration with Ferretti. She's no strange to fashion, in fact she had already designed a capsule collection for People Tree. The new project with Alberta Ferretti further confirms the actress's commitment to eco-fashion.

The collection is gipsy-inspired and, as reported by WWD, it seems that "Emma had a Jane-Birkin-in-the-Seventies-image in mind". Produced entirely in Italy, using eco-friendly materials and techniques, the collection will be availabre and sold exclusively on-line.

Today in Moscow, the 2011 Pirelli Calender, was presented to the world's press. The event was held at the prestigious Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko theatre. "The Cal 2011" features the creative genius of Karl Lagerfeld, whose sense for art and aesthetics is renowned throughout the world.

Mythology is a calendar that reflects one of the deepest passion of Lagerfeld: the Greek and Roman mythology. It takes the viewer to the roots of classical civilisation and to the Old World. All the photos are in black and white: "actresses and models bring these new heroes to life and decipt a new concept of the beautiful", said Karl Lagerlfeld, who, within these calendar has offered up an idyllic, immortal representation of beauty.

Mythology has 21 protagonists: 15 female models (including Bianca Balti, Elisa Sednaoui, Freja Beha Erichsen and Isabeli Fontana), 5 male models (with the Lagerfeld's muse: Baptiste Giabiconi) plus the American actress Julianne Moore.

I was waiting for it, I was dreaming it, I was getting ready for it and...I've lost it!!!!

Yes girls, today I officialy missed Lanvin for H&M. Ok, I admit that I wasn't 100% conviced.

Even if I really liked some pieces (like the t-shirts, the one shoulder dresses and the "baby-doll" dress), I am fully conviced that the price of this collection was a little bit too much higher.

Anyway, in the next days (tomorrow) I will have a look at H&M for sure, just to see if there is something...if not, it doesn't matter!!! There is one think that I really appreciate in this project: the communication! H&M and Alber Elbaz really did great things!!

Why is personal branding so important to me?

Since last years I'm trying to run my Carrousel de la Mode, my personal blog for fashion and more. The reason why I tried to set up my blog is just because I was searching a way to express myself and to talk about my passions and the things I love.

I truly believe in the power of the web. In the recent years be present in the web has become crucial. Facebook and Twitter help me to improve my presence in the web and help me to promote my blog.

Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin help me to improve also myself, but I need something more.

Obsession du jour: Valenki!

Let's talk about obsessions. Winter fashion obsessions.

In the last years I was caputer by boots, cuissards and specially UGG and HUNTER.

But what about this fall? Are you curious to discover my new obsession?

I have to say that I am probably inspired from my new russian friends, from the first cold cold weather and from my first flu.... Anyway, I find this wool boots so useful, warm and funny!

I learn something about these boots. The Valenki are the traditional russian winter boots. They represent one of the key symbols of Russian cultural heritage, and the history of these shoes began many centuries ago. 100% sheep's wool is used to make seamless, warm and healthy felt boots. Each Valenki (or valenok) is cut out of a single, seamless strip of lambswool. It is dipped in acid and then in boiling water, then before being oven-dried, it is beaten to form a heel and a point at the toe. These incredible boots resist the temperature down to 40 degrees C below zero, and the have being tested by military in arctic forest!

They represent the best souvenir from Russia and they have become super fashionable thanks to the original design and the embroidery that some designers make. (They also created the summer version in silk... but this is another chapter...)

Now, the point is: who is going to Russia?!? I want them!!!!
