Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and her ABC to fashion
Beautiful, strong, independent and hard working. This is Julia Restoin Roitfeld.
She's the doughter of the french fashion woman for excellance: Carine Roitfeld, the editor in chief of Vogue France.
Her mother taught her that the attitude and the charms of a woman are way more important than the physical features. She started to pay attention to fashion at quite a late age. Despite this, she is considered a fashion icon and, even if we saw her at the best fashion shows, se doesn't consider herself as a fashion victim.
She define her style as quite classic and bourgeois with a feminine and sexy rock touch.
She loves Azzadine Alaia, Balmain and Chanel: the ABC to fashion.

In 2005 she became the first Asian cover-model of Vogue Paris and since this happened she was feautured for many adv campaing such as Louis Vuitton, Roberto Cavalli, Swarovski, Yvs St. Laurent. Style.com declared her one of the top ten models to watch for the fall 2006 and she became one of the most acclamed chinese models, gracing in the cover of the premier issue of Vogue China.
Largely absent from Europe in recent seasons, Du Juan spends her time between NYC and her native Shanghai (two cities that I love!!). We hope Due will come back soon in our catwalks!

Penelope Cruz: the special editor in chief of the latest issue of Vogue Paris
Carine Roitfeld celebrates the spirit of the month of Cannes with the star studded May issue of Vogue Paris. For this special edition, Ms Roitfeld has pulled out all the stops: Penelope Cruz is the guest editor for the issue with three different celebrity cover.
The first cover of the three May Vogue Paris covers features Cruz, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Meryl Streep, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet; the second cover is graced by Cruz and Streep; and the third is devoted to Cruz and Bono. All three covers were photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
"Editing French Vogue has been an amazing adventure.", that's what Penelope Cruz sayed, "I am grateful to the magazine for giving me so much freedom and to the incredible actresses that joined me in this issue to celebrate the amazing work that (RED) is doing for Africa. I am extremely grateful to all of them, to Bono and to everyone who has helped us to make this issue possible."
