Karl Lagerfeld and his Mythology

Today in Moscow, the 2011 Pirelli Calender, was presented to the world's press. The event was held at the prestigious Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko theatre. "The Cal 2011" features the creative genius of Karl Lagerfeld, whose sense for art and aesthetics is renowned throughout the world.

Mythology is a calendar that reflects one of the deepest passion of Lagerfeld: the Greek and Roman mythology. It takes the viewer to the roots of classical civilisation and to the Old World. All the photos are in black and white: "actresses and models bring these new heroes to life and decipt a new concept of the beautiful", said Karl Lagerlfeld, who, within these calendar has offered up an idyllic, immortal representation of beauty.

Mythology has 21 protagonists: 15 female models (including Bianca Balti, Elisa Sednaoui, Freja Beha Erichsen and Isabeli Fontana), 5 male models (with the Lagerfeld's muse: Baptiste Giabiconi) plus the American actress Julianne Moore.

The divine Chanel

Bienvenue à le defilè de Chanel!

Yesterday, in the dreaming Grand Palais of Paris, Chanel has shown the latest SS2011 collection in a surprising set: the Versailles's garden. Of course, non THE original gardens but a true reproduction of them.
Karl Lagerfeld inspired himself from the Alain Resnis'movie "Last year in Mariembd". The guest were received from a 80 people orchestra that plays the musics of Verve and Bjoirk.

The latest collection of the French dream brand is particularly reach of contrast: romantic vs strong, white vs black, long vs short, simplicity vs rich texture, pieces that reminds at Coco vs contemporary leather skinny pants.

I was captured from the tailleurs with new proportions ("classic" jacket and shorts instead of skirts or trousers) and the fabulous dress covered from plumes.

And now accessories:
the superbe 2.55 in different fabrics and materials (the one covered from black plumes was literally extraordinary!), long black and gold colliers and light coloured bangle (as the trasparent one with the double C) and those enriched by black crystals.
The only "negative" point is make from the shoes: some kind of platform that, I am sorry, I don't well understand but maybe I just have to get used.

Those amazing looks were complete from a make-up with dark eyes, a strong chignon and a silver nailpolish manicure (the next must have after particulere and khaki?)...

To conclude my recap of this show, I can say that there are many aspects that I love, such as the use of plumes combined with organza and chiffon; the use of white and black together with some silver/glitter details (such as in the 2.55 above),the cutted black leather gloves and all the jewelrys!

Congratulation Karl you're always our fashion-genius!

The look of fashion by Konstantin Siegel

A 28 years old guy from Kazakstan who loves fashion and learn style and elegance from his mother. Konstantin Siegel is not a fashionista or a blogger, he is an ARTIST who represent fashion from his point of view.

The touch of Siegel captures the souls of the big names of fashion: Coco Chanel, Sonia Rykiel, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs but also Anna Wintour and Suzy Menkes. Reality and irony in china and watercolor.

Konstantin likes to say that “he is not an illustrator, he is a painter” and yesterday, at the opening of his exhibition, I had the chance to admire his art. That kind of art that a person dedicated to this world can well understand.

2.55

The Chanel's 2.55 remains one of my biggest desire. My birthday comes in 5 months...should it be my birthday's present?

If not the 2.55, I suppose that this purse will be a great alternative!
What can I say: I just love Chanel!

Karl did it again

Karl Lagerfeld did it again, he doesn't stop his creativity and his genious. First he released a short film to coincide with his new cruise collection, then he put on a magnificent show in Saint Tropez and now...

...now he present the new face of Chanel: Georgia May Jagger!

The campaign was taken in a perfect Saint Tropez background that reminds to the epoca of the french 70s.
As we saw in the show this cruise collection is an interesting blend of the classic Chanel'style with an hippy chic touch.
